Wellington Shire Council's vision is for happy people, healthy environment and thriving communities.
After Hours Emergency
1300 366 244Council is seeking community feedback on our Draft Environmental Sustainability Strategy 2020-2024 and Action Plan.
The Strategy sets out how we will improve environmental sustainability from our operations and services over the next four years, and how we will support and advocate on behalf of the community.
The Strategy builds on the progress made so far and sets out a new vision and long-term aspirational goals, including a proposed target of net zero emissions from Council operations by 2040 (excluding landfill operations). The strategy outlines our priorities over the next four years and the action plan is our pathway to achieving our goals.
We know that environmental sustainability is important to our community and we would like to hear from you on our vision, goals and plans.
Council will hold a series of community engagement drop-in sessions to provide an opportunity for open dialogue and to get your feedback to help finalise the Strategy and Action Plan.
