Payble allows you to pay your rate instalments - weekly, fortnightly, monthly or quartley. You can choose your payment start date, set up an automated direct debit from your debit or credit card, and easily update your payment frequency or information anytime.

Payble is free to use and signing up is easy. You will need a mobile phone number to sign up.

Updating your details

Visit our Name, Address or Email Alteration page to let us know if there are any changes to your details or your property.

SMS messages

To stay on track with your payments, you will receive an SMS reminder before and after each payment deduction.

Please note that Wellington Shire will never send you an SMS to verify your identity and will never ask you to provide password or bank account details. We will use text messages to advise our customers when notices have been sent or when payments need to be made. Text messages with the sender as 'WSC Payments' will be used for this purpose. If you sign up to Payble you will receive text messages from 'WSC Rates' before and after each schedule deduction.

Instalment dates

Rates are due in four instalment dates:

  • 1st Instalment - 30 September 2024
  • 2nd Instalment - 30 November 2024
  • 3rd Instalment - 28 February 2025
  • 4th Instalment - 31 May 2025

Please not that Council does not offer the option to pay annually in February.

Payment methods

Payments can be made using:

Payment plans

Customers can enter into a payment plan by making payment through Payble or contacting council directly. Payment plans must have consistent payments of the agreed amount.  No interest will be applied where a customer is on a payment plan.

Difficulty paying

Please contact the Rates team on 1300 366 244 if you are having any difficulties paying.  We will work with you and your circumstances where possible to create a payment plan.  Assessments left in arrears can be referred to debt collection or legal action.
