1300 366 244Wellington Shire Council invited those who live, work and spend time in Wellington to take an active role in shaping the future of Wellington. Through a range of engagement activities around Wellington and online, nearly 1,900 people provided feedback to help shape the future of our community.

We’re reviewing our Community Vision and the long-term plans that guide our direction and the priorities we deliver.
The Community Vision 2031 was first created in 2008 and has been regularly reviewed. It represents what our community wants Wellington Shire to look like in the future. We’ve been working towards this vision alongside key plans, including:

The Future Wellington Think Tank will meet throughout February 2025, bringing together up to 30 passionate community members from across the Shire. This group represents the diverse demographics of the region and will review community feedback from the first stage of consultation.
Their role is to help shape a new Community Vision and guide the following plans:
Thank you to everyone who submitted an Expression of Interest to join the Think Tank. Participants have now been selected and contacted. Sessions will be led by an independent consultant.
