About VEGuary Festival

Join us in February for VEGuary, a FREE festival celebrating sustainable food and gardening practices. With open gardens, workshops, and activities for all ages across Wellington Shire, it’s your chance to connect with local food systems, get inspired, and embrace eco-friendly living.
What to expect:
- Open Gardens: Visit inspiring private homes, community gardens, and schools showcasing veggie patches, orchards, and sustainable setups.
- Sustainable Tips: Learn practical gardening advice, from water-wise techniques to composting and permaculture methods.
- Local Produce: Discover fresh, locally grown food and meet the people behind your favourite seasonal ingredients.
- Kids’ Activities: Fun and interactive experiences to inspire the next generation of gardeners and eco-champions.
- Expert Talks: Gain insights from gardening and sustainability experts on how to make eco-friendly choices.
- Workshops: Hands-on sessions to help you start or improve your sustainable gardening journey.

Open Gardens
The VEGuary open gardens are private spaces that showcase practical, eco-friendly gardening practices such as veggie patches, composting systems, and water-wise designs. These aren’t ornamental gardens but inspiring examples of how to make the most of any garden.
