1300 366 244Wellington Shire Council is delighted that the Minister for Training and Skills, Ms Gayle Tierney, came to Sale on Thursday 16 March, to discuss the current status of training and further education opportunities in Wellington Shire.
The Minister met with Mayor Carolyn Crossley, Councillor Darren McCubbin and Chief Executive Officer David Morcom at Council’s offices on Desailly Street.
Wellington Shire Council Mayor Carolyn Crossley said that it was a very positive meeting. “The Minister listened to Council’s and the community’s concerns about the training and education opportunities available across Wellington Shire.
“The Minister confirmed that training and higher education was a priority of the Andrews Government and gave a strong commitment to training for Wellington Shire.
“Council is looking forward to working closely with the Minister, her department and Federation Training to develop training opportunities that will meet our communities needs now and attract students to the Federation Training facility in Sale for a strong education centre in the future.”
