1300 366 244Wellington Shire Council has launched the second stage of its Future Wellington project and is now seeking expressions of interest to join a community based think tank.
The Future Wellington Think Tank will be a diverse, community-driven group, aimed at guiding the next Community Vision, Council Plan, and related sub-plans. Comprised of 25-30 people, the think tank will represent a broad range of perspectives, including those of different ages, genders, and household types. The group will also seek participation from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, LGBTQIA+ individuals, those who are culturally and linguistically diverse and people with disabilities.
Participants will engage in a series of interactive workshops where they will consider community feedback, learn from experts, share ideas, and contribute to shaping the future of Wellington. The full commitment will be approximately 14 hours, and support will be available for those needing assistance with technology.
Workshops will be held on 1 February 2025 from 10am to 3pm (in person). Online sessions will be held on 6 and 13 February 2025 from 6pm to 8pm and 20 February 2025 from 6pm to 9pm.
Residents with a connection to Wellington Shire are encouraged to apply and share their voice.
