1300 366 244Wellington Shire Council is proud to be part of this year's National Volunteer Week - Australia's largest annual celebration of volunteering.
This year's theme 'Connecting Communities' - celebrates the power of volunteering to make a difference - not just in services delivered, but in relationships built and lives changes.
Volunteers are the backbone of local communities in Wellington, supporting everything from sport and the arts to health, emergency response, and the environment.
Whether you’re already volunteering or just curious about how to get involved, the Wellington Volunteer Expo is a great way to connect and be inspired. With dozens of local organisations all in one place, it’s the perfect opportunity to explore new interests, meet like-minded people, and learn more about the many ways you can make a difference in your community.
This Expo also shines a light on the power of volunteering to strengthen social ties, build resilience and create a sense of belonging.
You’ll have the chance to meet real volunteers, hear their stories, and find out how you can get involved. There is no pressure, just friendly conversations in a relaxed, welcoming space. Even if you’re just browsing, you might be surprised by what catches your interest.
It’s a FREE EVENT and everyone is welcome – people of all ages and backgrounds. Bring the family, enjoy free kid's activities and lucky door prizes .
We look forward to coming together to celebrate the spirit of volunteering and the incredible people who help make Wellington a better place for all.
