1300 366 244Wellington Shire Council has prepared a Draft Budget for the financial year commencing 1 July 2020 and ending 30 June 2021.
The Draft 2020/21 Budget is available via the link below from Thursday 7 May to Wednesday 3 June 2020.
Submissions will be considered in accordance with Section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989. Any person proposing to make a written submission on draft 2020/21 Budget must do so no later than 5.00pm on Wednesday 3 June 2020.
There were three options for available for submissions to be made, these options have now closed.
Any person wishing to be heard in support of their submission is entitled to be heard by Council, or be represented by a person acting on their behalf, however must register an intention to attend the Special Council Meeting by emailing the following contact details to askcouncil@wellington.vic.gov.au and someone will be in touch to confirm attendance details:
You will have three minutes to speak to your submission at the Special Council Meeting on Tuesday 9 June 2020 at 3.00pm. To ensure physical distancing requirements are observed, we ask that only those individuals wanting to speak to an existing submission or make a new submission attend the office at the time that has been allocated to you and we encourage all supporters to tune into the Council meeting livestream. On arrival at your allocated time, we ask that you proceed to the Customer Service desk where you will be directed accordingly.
Following a review of all submissions, Council will consider the adoption of the 2020/21 Budget at a Council Meeting on Tuesday 16 June 2020 at 6.00pm.
