Upon making contact, an assessment is made on how best to support the older resident and their carer.  Assessments are free of charge and help determine a person's individual care and support needs and their eligibility to support services.

Recharge Scheme - Electric Mobility Devices

Wellington Shire RECHARGE Scheme lets you recharge your electric scooter and wheelchair while you away from home.

This helps you plan your trip and you can feel more confident getting to and from your destination, knowing support is available.

For a list of recharge points please visit, Disability and Access page on Council website.

Carer Support

Carers improve the lives of the people they care for, contribute to broader community well-being, and provide a substantial economic benefit. Carers deserve to be recognised and valued for their important role.

Council's vision is that all carers feel acknowledged within the community and supported by the services they interact with. That's why we formally recognise carers and care relationships and support the Carers Recognition Act 2012.

For further information please visit the Carer Support page of the Latrobe Community Health Service website.
